This is not a walk-in shop. Allan works one-on-one from a private, appointment-only tattoo studio in Knoxville, TN, inside Image Studios on Kingston Pike, with on-site parking and wheelchair access. Clients come from West Knoxville, Farragut, Maryville, Oak Ridge and Lenoir City, and others travel from across East Tennessee and beyond for a single piece.

When people hear "private studio," they often imagine a tattoo artist working out of a spare room at home. This is something entirely different.My studio is a dedicated professional space designed exclusively for tattooing—much like a private medical or cosmetic clinic. By working in an appointment-only environment, I'm able to provide a quieter, more comfortable experience where every detail is focused on you.
No crowded waiting areas. No distractions. Just a clean, professional setting where your privacy, comfort, and tattoo experience come first.
Conveniently located on Kingston Pike and less than a mile from Pellissippi Parkway exit, Allan Mandi Tattoo operates inside the prestigious Image Studios—a modern professional facility designed for independent beauty, wellness, and creative professionals. With ample parking directly in front of the building, a welcoming reception area, and a dedicated private suite, the experience feels closer to visiting a private medical or aesthetic clinic than a traditional tattoo shop.
Unlike many private studios that are completely enclosed behind four walls and a closed door, the studio features modern glass-fronted walls that provide privacy while maintaining visibility and openness. Clients can enjoy a comfortable one-on-one experience without feeling isolated or disconnected from the professional environment around them.

Allan is actually the best tattoo artist you could ask ask for. Not only is his work AMAZING, but he is sooo kind and so professional and just overall a great person!
I just appreciate him and his wife more than you’ll ever know. Cause when I came to drop my deposit off she made me feel so comfortable I knew I was in good hands with them that very moment!! I truly just want everyone to know how amazing my experience was and how accommodating they were. I’ll never get a tattoo from anyone else!
I was supposed to only have one session but I have allot of health problems and ended up too sick to finish and he set me up another appointment to finish and was so incredibly nice and just asked every other minute of there was anything he could do!
He has a fan/heater and snacks and drinks and literally anything you could think of to just make you comfortable. I could go on and on about how amazing my experience was here and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for any kind of tattoo!! -

Allan is one of the most talented artists you’ll ever find (just take a look at his work and all of the first place trophies in his shop).
He takes the time to understand the design you are looking for and has the vision and artistic talent to turn it into a one of a kind masterpiece. I sat in the chair for 17 hours over two sessions and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
He is down to earth, easy to talk to and makes the experience super enjoyable. I would wager a bet right now that he ends up on the show inked in the future. Don’t walk… RUN! -

Allan is the best of the best!! Nobody around here does realism like Allan, especially not in color (trust me, I did a lot of research on color realism before finding him).
Allan has many qualities that make him stand out from other artists, but one of these is how seriously & passionately he takes his work. There were several times where I thought the tattoo looked great, and I was satisfied, but he holds himself to a whole other level with his work & he did not stop until he felt that it was done to the best of his abilities.
His space is clean & sanitized to the max, he’s got the comfiest tattoo chair ever (extra padding, pillows, blankets…it’s awesome), he’s really silly & entertaining, very intelligent, & one of the most genuine & kind humans I’ve ever met (his wife may have him beat in this area though lol).
I absolutely love my tattoo, especially since it was a coverup & I get compliments all the time on my “little gnomie”, or duwende.
Like I said, he’s the best! -

Allan knows how to take care of his customers. He is very patient during the work and is accommodating through the whole process. He has though of anything you could need to feel comfortable in his shop.

What impressed me just as much as his talent is the kind of person he is. Allan is a genuinely good man who clearly cares about his craft and the people he works with. His wife even went out of her way to make us some incredible homemade food during my session. That kind of hospitality says a lot.
We still have a few sessions left, but I already know I made the right choice. I couldn’t be happier with how it’s coming along. I’m excited to see the finished product, and I can guarantee this won’t be my last tattoo from Allan. Highly recommend 🤙

Do you offer free consultations?
Yes. Consultations with Allan are free and take place in person at the studio, with no pressure and no obligation to book. It’s a chance to meet Allan, talk through your ideas and decide whether he’s the right artist for your project.
How much will my tattoo cost?
Pricing depends on the size, placement, complexity and style of your tattoo. Your free consultation is the best way to get an estimate for your project.
How much is the deposit?
The deposit is $500 per tattoo session and is non-refundable. It’s credited toward that session, so the remaining balance is due on your appointment day.
When will I see my design?
Allan designs your tattoo ahead of time. When his schedule allows, he aims to share it a day to a week before your appointment as a courtesy, though advance previews aren’t guaranteed. Up to two design revisions are included.
Do you offer payment plans?
Payment plans may be available through GlossGenius with Klarna, Affirm or Afterpay; the financing provider decides approval and terms. We also accept Square (card), Venmo Business and cash, with no card surcharge.
Where is the studio located?
IMAGE Studios, Suite 101, 10321 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922. Suite 101 is on the right when you enter the building, and the studio is appointment-only.
